Cub Scout Pack 796
Cub Scout Pack 796 is a family-centered program for boys and girls in kindergarten through fifth grade. The pack is chartered in Ijamsville with St. Ignatius of Loyola Catholic Church and draws Cub Scouts from the greater Frederick area. Cub Scouts learn character, citizenship, leadership, and personal fitness through fun hands-on activities, like hiking, camping, STEM projects, service work, and the annual Pinewood Derby. Twice a month, the whole pack comes together for activities both as a group and in grade-level dens with their peers. The Cub Scouts and their families share experiences that foster growth, independence, and other lifelong skills. Many of our scouts continue to to a troop after Cub Scouting, having gained a sense of service to the community and a love for spending time in the outdoors.

Boy Scout Troop 796
Boy Scout Troop 796 is sponsored by the parish and typically meets weekly on Thursdays at 7:00 PM. Troop 796 is scout-led with supervision from active adult leaders and helps youth develop academic skills, self-confidence, ethics, leadership, and citizenship skills that influence their adult lives, plus Scouts have a lot of fun hiking, camping, swimming, climbing, conservation projects, first aid, lifesaving, and safety programs.
There are typically monthly weekend camping activities, along with a weeklong summer camp at a variety of scenic locations. The Troop is active in supporting community and Eagle service projects. We welcome boys 11-17 years old. Prior Scout experience is not required.
