Faith Formation
Overview of Faith Formation
St. Ignatius Parish offers abundant opportunities for all to deepen their faith and experience God’s personal love. At the heart of all catechesis is a person—the Person of Jesus Christ (CCC 426). Faith formation at St. Ignatius is not just about instruction but about transformation, leading each person into a living relationship with Christ (Evangelii Nuntiandi 14-15).
Faith Formation is offered to all parishioners, from children to adults. For those discerning entry into the Catholic Church, the Order of Christian Initiation of Adults (OCIA) provides a journey of faith and conversion. For those already initiated, we offer opportunities to grow deeper in discipleship through the ChristLife series, Called and Gifted, Aflame, and various events and talks throughout the year. As disciples, we are called not only to know our faith but to live it out in the world (Evangelii Nuntiandi 24).

For children and youth, we offer structured formation to guide them in their faith journey:
Beginning in Fall 2025, we will launch a Family Program for families with children in grades K-5. Rooted in the understanding that parents are the primary educators of the faith (CCC 2221-2226), this program will empower families to grow together in their love for Christ and His Church. The family is the domestic church, and it is within the home that faith is first nurtured (Evangelii Nuntiandi 71).
Throughout the year, our parish community joyfully celebrates those receiving the sacraments of Baptism, First Reconciliation, First Holy Communion, and Confirmation. The sacraments are not just milestones but encounters with Christ that strengthen us for a life of holiness and mission (CCC 774-776, 2013-2015). In addition, parishioners are invited to live out their faith through works of mercy, worship, justice, and charity, embodying the call to be Christ’s witnesses in the world (Evangelii Nuntiandi 44-45).
St. Ignatius Parish is richly blessed with dedicated and experienced catechists who generously offer their time and talents in accompanying others on their journey of faith. As a parish, we are committed to forming disciples who not only deepen their faith but also share it with others, building up the Body of Christ (Evangelii Nuntiandi 44, CCC 851-852).
Come and grow with us in faith, mission, and love for Christ and His Church!
