VIRTUS

Volunteer At St. Ignatius–Child and Youth Protection Policy

For the safety of our children and youth, all employees, adult volunteers, and youth volunteers, are required to register with VIRTUS (ages 18+) or Worthy of the Call (ages 14-17) before volunteer service can begin.

The Archdiocese of Baltimore joins more than ninety dioceses using VIRTUS as a training and compliance management system supporting our commitment to an environment of safe ministry to children and youth. All archdiocesan parishes and Catholic schools use VIRTUS training customized to archdiocesan policies and to Maryland law.
